Pro-rated payment, dynamic pricing, and subscription validity
Pro-rated payment
When you upgrade your ESET HOME Security subscription to another subscription, the cost will be calculated on a pro-rated basis, so you only pay for the remaining period of your current subscription at the new subscription's rate.
Dynamic pricing
The price you pay will be dynamically adjusted based on the remaining duration of your current subscription and the cost of the new plan.
New subscription validity
The new subscription plan will start as soon as you complete the upgrade process, and the validity period will be adjusted accordingly. The start date of your new subscription will be the date you upgrade, and it will extend for the duration of the new plan you select.
Upgrade ESET HOME Security subscription to a higher protection
This scenario includes the following upgrades:
- Upgrade ESET HOME Security Essential to ESET HOME Security Premium or ESET HOME Security Ultimate
- Upgrade ESET HOME Security Premium to ESET HOME Security Ultimate

Log in to your ESET HOME account and follow the process below to manage your subscription in ESET eStore.

In the Subscriptions section, click All subscriptions.

Below the chosen subscription you want to upgrade, click Open subscription.

Click the Upgrade (the upward pointing arrow) icon next to Manage subscription.
- You will be redirected to the ESET eStore.
Alternatively, log in to the ESET eStore using your Activation Key or Public ID.

In the ESET eStore, in the Subscription Details section, click Upgrade next to the subscription you want to upgrade.

Based on your current ESET subscription, one or two upgrade options will be displayed. Choose your new subscription and set the number of devices and subscription validity in years. Click Upgrade now in the bottom right corner.

Follow the steps on the Cart page and fill in the information in the Shopping cart, Billing info, and Payment sections to complete the purchase. In the Shopping cart section, you can still adjust the number of seats and the subscription's validity.

Complete the payment process.

Your subscription has been upgraded to a higher protection level.
- Your current ESET products will show a notification informing you about the subscription upgrade. Click Restart the product to upgrade (recommended). Your ESET product will restart (this will not restart your device) and the product with the most security features will be installed. You can change your ESET product anytime after the upgrade.
Upgrade ESET HOME Security subscription to ESET Small Business Security subscription
This scenario includes upgrading ESET HOME Security Essential, ESET HOME Security Premium, or ESET HOME Security Ultimate subscriptions to an ESET Small Business Security subscription.

Log in to your ESET HOME account and follow the process below to manage your subscription in ESET eStore.

In the Subscriptions section, click All subscriptions.

Below the chosen subscription you want to upgrade, click Open subscription.

Click the Upgrade (upward pointing arrow) icon next to Manage subscription.
- You will be redirected to the ESET eStore.
Alternatively, log in to the ESET eStore using your Activation Key or Public ID.

In the ESET eStore, follow the standard renewal process to access the Cart page. This might include clicking the Renew, Upgrade, or Upgrade now buttons, depending on your country and the way you have accessed the eStore.

In the Shopping cart section, below your ESET HOME Security subscription, click Upgrade. Your shopping cart has been updated so it now contains ESET Small Business Security subscription. Adjust the number of seats and the subscription's validity as needed and click Proceed to checkout.

Follow the steps on the Cart page and fill in the information in the Billing info and Payment sections.

Complete the payment process.

Your ESET HOME Security subscription has been upgraded to ESET Small Business Security subscription.

On your Windows device, open the main program window of your ESET home product.

We recommend that you export configuration settings before uninstalling your ESET product. If you want to configure your ESET Small Business Security product from scratch, you can ignore this step.

Uninstall your ESET home product. You might be requested to restart your device.

Follow the instructions to download and install ESET Small Business Security product.

If you exported your configuration settings in step 8, you can import your configuration settings.

You successfully upgraded your ESET home product to ESET Small Business Security product.

Add ESET VPN to your subscription
Currently, you cannot purchase ESET VPN as a standalone product, as it is an exclusive feature that is included in ESET HOME Security Ultimate and ESET Small Business Security subscriptions.
To use ESET VPN, you need to upgrade to an ESET subscription that includes ESET VPN.
If you want to upgrade from ESET HOME Security subscription to ESET Small Business Security subscription, see the section above.
Add ESET Identity Protection to your subscription
Currently, you cannot purchase ESET Identity Protection as a standalone product, as it is an exclusive feature that is included in ESET HOME Security Ultimate subscription.
To use ESET Identity Protection, you need to upgrade to ESET HOME Security Ultimate subscription.
