II. Uninstall your existing ESET home and small office application for Windows

1. See the uninstall instructions for ESET Windows home and small office applications.

2. After completing the uninstallation, restart your computer.

III. Reinstall

1. Navigate to the saved installation file you downloaded in section I. Double-click the file to open ESET Live Installer.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and activate your ESET Windows home and small office application.

IV. Unable to reinstall ESET application for Windows

Failed reinstallation is often caused by a partial or incomplete uninstall of a previous ESET security application. If you have attempted to reinstall your ESET application for Windows after uninstalling an earlier version and are experiencing performance issues, it is likely that the previous version was not completely uninstalled.

Follow the steps below to diagnose and fix your failed reinstallation:

1.  Remove all non-ESET antivirus software and reinstall your application. Reinstallation issues can be caused by another company's antivirus software conflicting with your ESET security application.

2. If your reinstallation still fails, run the ESET Uninstaller tool and reinstall your application. The ESET Uninstaller deletes all files, folders, registry entries and program drivers that can be left behind during a failed installation and can interfere with reinstallation.
