[KB8693] Post-Transition Behavior for Channel Partners with Partner Portal user account

Issue

Solution

Scenario 1: You have an existing user in Partner Portal with active users in legacy license management systems

Before Transition:

  • You had a user in Partner Portal and active user(s) in ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator 2.

After Transition:

  • Your ESET PROTECT Hub user account will be created automatically after migration.
  • Your Partner Portal account will be paired with your new ESET PROTECT Hub user account.
  • Your Partner Portal user account will be accessible directly and also via the Product Navigator in ESET PROTECT Hub. You must use your ESET PROTECT Hub credentials to log in to your Partner Portal user account.

Scenario 2: You have an existing user in Partner Portal without active users in legacy license management systems

Before Transition:
  • You had a user in Partner Portal but no active users in ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator 2.

After Transition:

  • An ESET PROTECT Hub user account will be created for you because of your existing Partner Portal user account.
  • You will need to activate your ESET PROTECT Hub user account.
  • After activation, you must use your ESET PROTECT Hub credentials to log in to your Partner Portal user account, which will be accessible directly and also via the Product Navigator in ESET PROTECT Hub.

Scenario 3: You did not have a Partner Portal user account before the transition

Before Transition:

  • You did not have a Partner Portal user account.

After Transition:

  • Your regional Partner or Office must properly register you as a Reseller/Channel Partner in SalesForce.
  • An invitation to join ESET PROTECT Hub user will be sent to you.
  • By activating your ESET PROTECT Hub user account, you will also gain access to your Partner Portal user account, which will be accessible directly and via the Product Navigator in ESET PROTECT Hub.

Product Navigator: The Product Navigator is a menu that allows business users to navigate between different ESET solutions and other relevant ESET applications and websites.

Activation Process: Ensure that you complete the activation process for your ESET PROTECT Hub user account promptly to avoid any access issues.

Credentials: Always use your ESET PROTECT Hub credentials to access your Partner Portal user account and other services linked via ESET PROTECT Hub.
