• This threat affects users of the BitTorrent client "Transmission" version 2.90

Users of the BitTorrent client "Transmission" were informed within the Transmission application and on its website that version 2.90 of the application was infected by a file-encrypting ransomware named KeRanger.

ESET software can detect and block the OSX/Filecoder.KeRanger filecoder.
