Cannot open Banking and Payment Protection

Update

A hotfix update has been released that should resolve this issue. If you are on version 12.1.34.0 you have already received the update. If you have not yet received the 12.1.34.0 update, Open the main program window of your Windows ESET product., click Update → Check for updates → Update Product and restart your computer when prompted. If this does not update your product, you can enable pre-release updates or open Advanced setup, click Update, expand ProfilesUpdates, select Pre-release update from the Update type drop-down menu, click OK and restart your computer. 

Some ESET customers are unable to open Banking and Payment Protection in their ESET Windows home products.

If you are experiencing this issue (error 0x847695d7), we recommend that you restart your computer.

If restarting your computer does not fix this issue, we recommend that you try each solution in the order below:

  1. In your computer settings, select a different default web browser and apply your changes. Repeat the process and select your original browser and then restart your computer.
     
  2. Backup your ESET settings and reinstall ESET.
     
  3. Upgrade your ESET Windows home product to the latest version.
     
  4. Update your operating system. Install the latest updates offered in Windows Update tool or enable the Automatic Updates feature.
     
  5. Enable Pre-release updates to have access to the most recent detection methods and fixes.
