I. Troubleshooting Wizard

The troubleshooting wizard can help you resolve home network connectivity issues caused by the ESET firewall.

Add a firewall exception using the Troubleshooting wizard to allow a specific device or application to connect to your home network.

If the Troubleshooting Wizard does not resolve your connectivity issue, proceed to Step II – Firewall Interactive mode.

II. Firewall Interactive mode

The Firewall Interactive mode helps you create personalized firewall rules to ensure your devices can connect to your home network.

Use Interactive mode to create firewall exclusions in your product.

If the Firewall Interactive mode does not help you resolve your connectivity issue, proceed to Step III – Firewall rules.

III. Firewall rules

If you still have devices, network traffic, IP addresses or applications that cannot connect to your home network, create firewall rules to grant specific connections.

Devices: Proceed to Step IV – Specific firewall issues for connectivity solutions for specific devices.

Applications: Create a firewall rule to allow or block an application.

Network traffic

IP address: Create a rule to allow or deny a connection from a remote IP address.

If firewall rules do not resolve your connectivity issue, proceed to Step IV – Specific firewall issues.
