Your ESET Windows home and small office product is updated at least once a day with new virus detections and occasional program component upgrades. These updates will fail if your product is not activated by an activation key.
Solution

-
When the product activation screen appears, click Use a purchased activation key. If you need to re-activate your product, click Help and support → Change subscription.

Product activation troubleshooting
If the activation is not successful, the most common scenarios are:
- Activation key is already in use
- You have entered an invalid activation key, see My Activation Key is not working
- Communication with the activation server failed, see Resolve ACT or ECP errors during activation
Verify that you entered the proper activation key and your internet connection is active. Try to activate your product again.
