Download, install and activate ESET Endpoint Security for macOS

ESET Endpoint Security for macOS requires user consent settings to function

These settings need to be manually applied after the installation. Your device must be enrolled in MDM to avoid having to add user consent settings to each computer. MDM will then be used to distribute configuration profiles to target computers.

If you do not apply these settings before installation, users will receive multiple pop-up dialogues prompting them to manually apply user consent settings. We recommend distributing configuration profiles before the installation of ESET Endpoint Security for macOS.

Download ESET Endpoint Security for macOS.
The installation package will appear in your Downloads folder or the default folder set by your browser. Double-click the installer file to open it.
Double-click Install ESET Endpoint Security. When prompted, click Continue to launch the Installation Wizard.
If you have not done so already, remove any existing security applications, such as antivirus, antispyware, or firewall, from your computer. Click Continue if no other security applications are installed.
Review the system requirements and click Continue.
Read the ESET Software License Agreement and click Continue → Agree if you agree.
Select Install for all users of this computer (or select Install on a specific disk if desired) and click Continue.
Click Install.
In the Installer is trying to install new software window, type your password and click Install Software.
Click Continue.
In the Recommended Protection settings window, select your preferred options for Enable ESET LiveGrid feedback system and Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications and click Continue. These settings can be changed at a later time. See What is a potentially unwanted application?
In the Component Installation window, select the installation type that best suits your needs and click Continue.
Type your activation key and click Continue.
Enable ESET system extensions, proxy configuration and network content filter. First approve all the displayed alerts by clicking OK, and then open System Settings and, using administrator credentials, allow system extensions. Click Continue when you are done.
Allow full disk access and click Continue when you are done.
Allow notifications by opening System Settings, clicking on Notifications → ESET Endpoint Security Agent, and clicking the toggle next to Allow notifications.
Click Continue.
The installation is finished. Click Done on the first window to close it.
Click Close on the second window to close it as well.
