[KB7637] Allow full disk access for your ESET product for macOS (6.11)

Issue

  • ESET Security products require access to macOS user-protected data to function properly
  • You received the Your computer is not fully protected warning from your ESET product
macOS Ventura (13)

This Knowledgebase article is for enabling Full Disk Access after the installation. If you already have an ESET product for macOS and you receive the warning after upgrading to macOS Ventura (13), follow the steps in this Knowledgebase article.

Solution

Restart required during upgrade to version7

It is required to restart the system when you upgrade from version 6 to version 7 and before allowing Full Disk Access for the main app.

  1. Click Open System Preferences.

  2. Click the lock icon to make changes.

  3. Use your Touch ID or click Use Password... and type in your User Name and Password, then click Unlock.

  4. Select your ESET application.

  5. Your computer will display a notification. Click Later. Do not restart your computer in this step.

  6. Select ESET Real-time File System Protection.

If this option is not present in the table, you need first to allow system extensions for your ESET product.

  1. Click Start Again or restart your computer.
