[KB2213] Transfer ESET home or small office product to a new computer or mobile device

Issue

  • Transfer or move your ESET product to a new device

Solution

  1. Uninstall ESET product from your old device.

    Your old device is not working or is not present

    If you cannot uninstall the ESET product from your old device, remove the device from your subscription in ESET HOME. This will deactivate the product, and you will be able to use your subscription on your new device.

    • Uninstall and reinstall your ESET Windows home and small office product
    • Uninstall ESET Cyber Security
    • Uninstall or reinstall ESET Mobile Security for Android

  2. Uninstall any non-ESET antivirus software on your new device.

    • Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Windows antivirus software
    • Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Mac antivirus software

  3. Install your ESET product on your new device.

    • ESET home and small office products for Windows
    • ESET Cyber Security for macOS
    • ESET Mobile Security for Android
