[KB2213] Transfer ESET product to a new computer or device

Issue

Solution

1. Uninstall any non-ESET antivirus software on your new computer or device. Identify the antivirus product installed on your new computer or device (if any) and uninstall it using one of the uninstallers from one of the following Knowledgebase articles: 

   • Windows users: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software for Windows.
   •  Mac users: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Mac antivirus software for macOS.
     
     

2. Install your ESET product on your new computer or mobile device.

   • ESET home and small office products for Windows
   • ESET Cyber Security or ESET Cyber Security Pro (macOS)
   • ESET Mobile Security for Android
     
     
3. Uninstall ESET from your old device. Click the link for your ESET product to view a Knowledgebase article with step-by-step instructions: 

   Your old device is not working

   If your old device is not working, disconnect the device from your subscription via ESET HOME.

  • Uninstall or reinstall ESET Cyber Security or ESET Cyber Security Pro (macOS)
  • Uninstall ESET Mobile Security for Android
