ESET Windows home and small office products provide the option to set a user-defined password to access the Advanced setup. If your system is a part of a company network, contact your network administrator for assistance.


Solution

Android users 


Restore or remove your password via ESET HOME

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Press the F5 key to access the Advanced setup.

  3. When prompted to type your password, click Restore password.

  4. Click Restore password via your ESET HOME account.

  5. Type the email address you use to log in to ESET HOME and click Send code.

  6. You will receive an ESET email with a verification code only valid for seven days. Copy the verification code. 

  7. You can remove your Advanced setup password or set up a new password. Follow one of the procedures below:

    • If you do not want to set a new password at this time, type or paste the verification code in the respective field and leave the password fields blank. Click VerifyOK. Advanced setup password has been removed.

    • To set a new password, type or paste the verification code in the respective field and type your new security password in the New password and Confirm new password fields. Click Verify → OK. Your new password has been set successfully.

Restore or remove your password via email

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Press the F5 key to access the Advanced setup.

  3. You will be prompted to type your password. Click Restore password.

  4. Type the email address you used for subscription registration in the blank field and click Send Code.

    If you do not know your email address, click Contact Technical Support to submit a support request form to ESET Technical Support.

    Unverifiable users

    If your subscription is unverifiable, you will not see a blank field to type your email address. Click Contact Technical Support to submit a support request to ESET Technical Support. View a screenshot.

Generate a code for ESET Technical Support

Technical Support code

Only generate a code when instructed by ESET Technical Support. If you have not contacted Technical Support, submit a support request before generating a code. 

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Press the F5 key to access the Advanced setup.

  3. When prompted to type your password, click Restore password.

  4. Click Generate code for Technical Support.

  5. Click the copy button to copy the code for ESET Technical Support.

  6. Submit this code to ESET Technical Support using the support method you used to contact them.

  7. You will receive an ESET email with a verification code. Copy the verification code. Navigate to your ESET Windows product and click I have a verification code.

  8. You can remove your Advanced setup password or set up a new password. Follow one of the procedures below:

    • If you do not want to set a new password at this time, type or paste the verification code in the respective field and leave the password fields blank. Click VerifyOK. Advanced setup password has been removed.
