Prerequisites

• Create the ESET Live Installer package in ESET PROTECT

Install ESET Endpoint Security for macOS

1. Open the ESET Live Installer (.pkg) file and click Allow to start the Installation Wizard.

   

2. Read the System requirements and ensure your computer meets them. Click Continue.

   

3. ESET Live Installer will download the installation files for ESET Management Agent and ESET Endpoint Security for macOS. Wait for the download to complete and click Continue.

   

4. To save the installation files for future use, click the ZIP icon and then click Continue to proceed with the installation.

   Installing ESET Live Installer with pre-downloaded installation files

   If you click the ZIP icon, the ESET installation files will download to your desktop (protect_data.zip). You can reuse the Live Installer file for the next installation of this application so that you do not need to download the installation files from the ESET servers again.

   When you are using these pre-downloaded installation files, ensure that the protect_data.zip file is in the same folder as the ESET Live Installer (.pkg) file.

   

5. Before clicking Install, you have the option to Change Install Location. When you are prompted, type your computer password or use Touch ID to begin the installation.

   

6. Both applications are now installed on your computer. Click Close.

   

7. In the last step, click Keep if you want to keep the installer file on your computer for later use, or click Move to Bin.

8. To complete the installation, perform the following two actions:

   • Allow system extensions for your ESET product for macOS
   • Allow Full Disk Access for your ESET product for macOS
