Issue
- Unable to update the detection engine in ESET Windows products for home
- You received an "Undocumented Serious Error 0x101a" error
- You received an "Undocumented Serious Error 0x1106" error
- Clear update cache
- Change Proxy mode to "Do not use proxy server"
Solution
Clear update cache
Press the F5 key to open Advanced setup.
Click Update. Next to Clear update cache, click Clear and then click OK.

Press the F5 key to open Advanced setup.
Click Update, expand Profiles → Updates.

After your computer has restarted, open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.
Click Update → Check for updates. Your ESET product should update automatically from now on. If the issue is not resolved, uninstall and then reinstall your ESET product.
