Firewall rules configuration

You can configure firewall rules for managed devices using Common Features, ESET Endpoint for Windows, or ESET Server Security for Windows Server policies.

  1. Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

  2. Open policies overview.

    ESET PROTECT

    Click ConfigurationAdvanced setup.

    ESET PROTECT On-Prem

    Click Policies.

  3. Select the policy that is applied to the devices where you want to create or edit firewall rules: below Policies, click the respective policy category, click the policy and click Edit.

  4. Click Settings, expand Protections, click Network access protection, expand Firewall and click Edit next to Rules.

  5. To create a rule, click Add. Alternatively, select a rule and click Edit, Remove, Copy, or the arrows to perform the action you want.

    Rule priority

The order of rules in the Rules list determines their priority: the rule at the top has the highest priority. To change a rule's position, select the rule and click the arrow to move it up or down one place. To move a rule directly to the top or bottom of the list, select the rule and click the respective double arrow.

  6. If needed, modify the rule name and ensure that the Enabled toggle is enabled. Configure the rule parameters as needed and click Save. For more information, see Adding or editing Firewall rules.

  7. Click SaveFinish.
