I. Become familiar with spam
To combat spam, you must first become familiar with what email spam, hoaxes and phishing are and how to recognize these dangers in the wild.
When you have reviewed the information above, proceed to Step 2.
II. Install an ESET solution with Antispam
The ESET products listed below offer protection against spam and malware.

Download, install and activate the appropriate ESET software.
ESET Business products
- ESET Endpoint Security
- ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Windows Exchange Server
- ESET Mail Security for Linux
- ESET Mail Security for IBM Domino
ESET Home products
After you have successfully installed ESET software on your computer, proceed to Section 3.
III. Set up Antispam configurations
Use the appropriate product-specific Knowledgebase articles below to optimize your product's spam-blocking capabilities.
ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Windows Exchange
- Configure Approved (whitelist), Blocked (blacklist) and Ignored (exceptions) lists in ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server
- Configure ESET Mail Security to move unsolicited emails into the user-defined Microsoft Outlook spam folder
- Redirect spam email to a specific location (mailbox) using ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server
ESET Endpoint Security
- Whitelist/Blacklist/Exception list
