Which version (32-bit or 64-bit) of my ESET home product should I download?
Issue
- You receive the error message “This installation package is not supported by this processor type”
- ESET Technical Support has directed you to this article to learn whether your system is 32-bit or 64-bit
Details
If you do not have your License Key or Username and Password, visit our lost license page to retrieve them. Your active (non-expired) ESET license includes both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of your ESET product.
Solution
Windows XP
ESET Windows home products version 10 do not support Windows XP.
- Click Start, right-click My Computer and select Properties from the context menu.
- Look for the System section of the properties window. (View screenshot)

Windows 7 or Windows Vista
- Click Start, right-click Computer and select Properties from the context menu.

- Click the appropriate link for your system in the table below.
Windows 10

Press the windows key
+ X on your keyboard and select Control Panel. Click System and Security → System.
- Your system type is displayed in the System section.
- Click the appropriate link for your system in the table below.
Windows 8

+ C, click Settings and then click PC info.
- Look for the System type section of the properties window.
- Click the appropriate link for your system in the table below.
