[KB7867] Send a Modules Update task to clients using ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Required user permissions

This article assumes that you have the appropriate access rights and permissions to perform the tasks below.

If you use the default Administrator user or are unable to perform the tasks below (the option is unavailable), create a second administrator user with all access rights.

  • Module update failed: "An error occurred while downloading update files"

Solution

 Endpoint users: Perform these steps on individual client workstations

  1. Open ESET PROTECT On-Prem in your web browser and log in.

  2. Click Tasks → New Client Task.

  1. Type a name for the task. Select Modules Update from the Task drop-down menu. See our related Online Help topic for more information on Modules Updates.

  2. Click Settings, select the check box under Clear update cache and click Finish. You will add Targets after the task is created.

  3. Create a trigger and add target computers from the ALL Static Group.
