Roll back module updates

 Endpoint users: Perform these steps on individual client workstations

  1. Open ESET PROTECT On-Prem in your web browser and log in.

  2. Click Computers, select the group for the computers you want to roll back the update on (in this example, the Windows computers group is selected), and select the check box next to each client workstation.

  3. Click ActionsNew Task.

  4. In the Name field, type a name for the task (the Description and Task Category settings are optional). From the Task drop-down menu, select Modules Update Rollback.

  5. Click Settings. From the Action drop-down menu, select Rollback and Disable Updates for Next, and then select the duration of time to suspend module updates on these client workstations.
Until revoked

If you select Until revoked, updates to clients will not resume until you manually re-enable them. We do not recommend that you suspend updates indefinitely unless instructed to do so by ESET technical support since allowing your detection engine to become outdated can expose you to security risks.

  1. Click Summary, verify the details of your task, and then click Finish. Module updates will now be suspended for the period of time that you specified.

Re-enable module updates

  1. To re-enable module updates, repeat steps 1-6 above. In step 5, select Enable Updates from the Action drop-down menu.
