[KB7867] Send an Application Modules Update task to managed devices from ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Issue

  • Fix the Module update failed: "An error occurred while downloading update files" error message
  • Fix issues with failed module update
  • Update modules in an ESET application on devices managed through ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Solution

Required user permissions

This article assumes that you have the appropriate access rights and permissions to perform the tasks below.

If you are unable to perform the tasks below (the option is unavailable), create a second administrator user in ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem with all access rights.

  1. Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

  2. Create a client task.

  3. Type a name for the task. From the Task drop-down menu, select Application Modules Update. For more information, see Application Modules Update.

  4. Click Settings, select the Clear update cache checkbox and click Finish.

  5. Create a trigger to execute the client task on managed devices.
