Keeping modules updated is an important part of obtaining the maximum level of security and protection on your machine. By default, your ESET product checks for updates every hour and downloads new updates when available (typically, 2-3 times a day). However, you can configure your settings to disable automatic updates.
Solution
-
Click Tools → Scheduler.
-
Deselect the Update Regular automatic update and Update Automatic update after user logon check boxes. Automatic updates are now disabled.
-
When you disable automatic updates, your ESET product immediately triggers a security alert. To re-enable automatic updates, click Overview → Schedule update task.
