[KB3040] Check for the latest version of your ESET business products
Check that you are using the latest versions of ESET Security Management Center, ESET Remote Administrator, ESET Mail/File Security and ESET endpoint products (ESET Endpoint Security, ESET Endpoint Antivirus, etc.)
Latest version of:
ESET Security Management Center 7.x
ESET Remote Administrator 6.x
ESET Remote Administrator 5.x
Check which component versions you are using in ESET Security Management Center / ESET Remote Administrator
Open the ESET Remote Administrator Console by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET → ESET Remote Administrator Console → ESET Remote Administrator Console.
Click Help → Check for Server Updates on the Web.

If a more recent version is available ("The version of your software is outdated. Please download the new version"), click Download to download the latest version.
Repeat steps 1-3 above to check for the latest version for the ESET Remote Administrator Console (in step 2, click Check for Console Updates on the Web).
Check the latest versions of your client workstations in ERA 5.x
Upgrade to the latest version - End of Life notice
This article applies to version 5.x of ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Endpoint Security. These products are currently in Basic Support status and are expected to reach End of Life status in December 2020. After this date, ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Endpoint Security will no longer receive detection engine updates to protect against malware.
Check your ESET Mail/File Security product version
Latest version of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server: 7.1.10011.0
Open the main program window by double-clicking the ESET icon in your Windows notification area.

Your product version will display next to Product version.
End of support for version 4 ESET Mail Security and File Security products
ESET Mail Security version 4 and ESET File Security version 4 have reached End of Life status. These products are no longer receiving detection updates to protect against malware. You must upgrade to a more recent version in order to be protected against threats.
