You can generate reports from available report templates. For more information, see Generate Report (ESET PROTECT) or Generate Report (ESET PROTECT On-Prem).


Solution

Required user permissions

This article assumes that you have the appropriate access rights and permissions to perform the tasks below.

If you are unable to perform the tasks below (the option is unavailable), create a second administrator user in ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem with all access rights.

ESET PROTECT
  1. Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

  2. Click TasksServer TasksGenerate ReportNew server task.

  3. Under Basic, update the task name and type the description if needed. Verify that Generate Report is selected in the Task drop-down menu. Click Continue. For information about the Run Task options, see the Basic section details.

  4. Under Settings, click Add report template.

  5. Select the report template to use and click OK. If needed, add another report template; you can use multiple report templates.

    Add a report template to your home group

    To add a report template to your home group, you can:

  6. Below Email Message, define the email settings and click Continue.

  7. Under Summary, review the task details and click Finish.

  8. In the list of tasks, click the task and click Run Now.


ESET PROTECT On-Prem
Report delivery through email

If you want to deliver the generated reports by email, verify that the SMTP Server is configured.

  1. Open the ESET PROTECT Web Console.

  2. Click TasksServer TasksGenerate ReportAddServer task.

  3. Under Basic, update the task name and type the description if needed. Verify that Generate Report is selected in the Task drop-down menu. Click Continue. For information about the Run Task options, see the Basic section details.

  4. Under Settings, click Add report template.

  5. Select the report template to use and click OK. If needed, add another report template; you can use multiple report templates.

    Add a report template to your home group

    To add a report template to your home group, you can:

  6. Below Report delivery, select Send email or Save to file.

  7. Proceed based on the selected report delivery option.


    Send email

    Define the email settings and click Continue.


    Save to file

    Define the file options and click Continue.


  8. Under Summary, review the task details and click Finish.

  9. In the list of tasks, click the task and click Run Now.
