[KB7811] ESET PROTECT On-Prem repository is not working

Issue

Solution

Test your connection to the ESET PROTECT On-Prem repository

Default ESET PROTECT On-Prem repository

The default ESET repository is set to AUTOSELECT (it points to: http://repository.eset.com/v1). It automatically determines the repository server with the best connection based on the geographic location (IP address) of your ESET PROTECT On-Prem Server (utilizing a CDN—Content Delivery Network). Therefore, you do not need to change the repository settings.

Optionally, you can set a repository that uses only ESET servers: http://repositorynocdn.eset.com/v1.

To use an offline repository, see the Online Help guide.

  1. Open the following link in your web browser: http://repository.eset.com/v1/info.meta. If you can download the metadata file, you are connected to the repository.

  2. If you cannot access the repository:

    • Contact your system administrator to resolve firewall issues.
    • Ensure you have at least HTTP 1.1 enabled when accessing the repository or ESET update servers via third-party proxy. This applies to all products that have access to the ESET repository.
    • Do not use an IP address to access the ESET repository.

  3. Check your connection to the repository again. If your connection continues to fail, contact ESET Technical Support.
