[KB6120] ESET blocking CTRL+Alt+Del command in LogMeIn (Home Users)

Issue

  • Unable to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete command while using LogMeIn to remotely access computers
  • HIPS prevents Ctrl+Alt+Delete command from working

Solution

Are you a business user?
 

  1. Open your Windows ESET product. How do I open my ESET product?

  2. Press the F5 key to open Advanced setup.
     
  3. Expand Antivirus, click HIPS and click Edit next to Rules.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Type the application name in the Rule name field and click the slider bar next to Applications. Click Next.

  6. Select Specific applications from the drop-down menu and click Add.

  7. Click the browse icon and navigate to the application you want to create the rule for, select the application and click Open.

    For newer versions of LogMeIn, the location may be found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\LogMeIn\x64\LogMeInRC.exe.

  8. Click OK and click Next.

  9. Click the slider bar next to All application operations, click Next  Finish. Click OK twice to exit Advanced setup.
