    ESET Online Scanner is browser-independent.

  4. Do I need internet access (connectivity) to run the ESET Online Scanner?

  5. Why does the ESET Online Scanner run slowly on my computer?

If you have another antivirus, antispyware or anti-malware programs running on your computer, they may intercept the scan being performed by the ESET Online Scanner and hinder performance. You may want to disable the real-time protection components of your other security software before running the ESET Online Scanner. Remember to re-enable them when you are finished.

  6. What is the difference between the ESET Online Scanner and other ESET security products?

After every scan, you have the option to delete the ESET Online Scanner program files and components. Select the check box next to Delete application data on closing to automatically uninstall the scanner when you click Submit and close. However, if any files were quarantined, the ESET Online Scanner directories will not be removed.

Only restore files from quarantine if you are sure that they are not malware or an infected file.
