[KB2782] Password-protect program settings in ESET Windows home and small office products

• Set a password to restrict access to program settings

Solution

1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

2. Press the F5 key to open Advanced setup.

3. Click User Interface, expand Access Setup, and click Set. In the Password setup window, type a new password, confirm the passwordand click OK → OK.

   Settings password

   The settings password is different from your ESET-issued password, and it is required to modify or remove password protection in your ESET product.

   If you forget your settings password, you can unlock your settings password.

   

4. You will now be prompted to type this password each time you attempt to modify program settings.
