Issue
- You receive "Error Code MSI.1923" while installing your ESET product
Solution
If you experience an "Error Code MSI.1923" during installation, we recommend the following:
- Complete all Windows updates. Pending updates may cause the installer to fail.
- The user must have administrative privileges for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services. - Uninstall ESET in Safe Mode. Users may need to run the uninstaller multiple times. If the option to uninstall appears each time the uninstaller runs, there may be an ESET Service that is not uninstalling.
- If none of the above options resolve the error, download and run the ESET Log Collector and contact your local tech support.
