Solution
- On March 28, 2022, ESET Windows home products (ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security and ESET Smart Security Premium) were released for Windows on ARM devices.
- On November 15, 2023, a new ESET home product for Windows called ESET Security Ultimate was released for 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM devices.
- On April 9, 2023, a new ESET small office product for Windows called ESET Small Business Security was released for 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM devices.
You can activate your ESET product on Windows on ARM with the same subscription as you would a 64-bit or 32-bit version of your ESET product.
Unavailable features
Due to system incompatibility, the following product features are not available on Windows on ARM devices:
- Advanced Machine Learning (ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Security Ultimate, ESET Small Business Security)
- Deep behavioral inspection (ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Security Ultimate, ESET Small Business Security)
- Safe Banking & Browsing (ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Security Ultimate, ESET Small Business Security)
- Secure Data (ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Security Ultimate, ESET Small Business Security)
ESET Live Installer – supported operating system versions
The ESET Live Installer automatically detects your ARM device and installs an ARM version of your selected ESET product.
- Windows 11 on ARM–currently supported
- Windows 10 21H2 on ARM–Full Support started on April 15, 2022
- Windows 10 21H1 on ARM or earlier–not supported; use the offline installer
Offline installer – supported operating system versions
If you use the version-specific installer (available under Advanced download), select the ARM version (32-bit and 64-bit will not work.)
Use the latest version of Windows 11 on ARM
Before you install your ESET home or small business product for Windows, we recommend updating your operating system to the latest version. You may receive an error message if you do not use the latest version.
