Internet connection issues

If you do not connect to the internet using a proxy server, this error may be caused by:

  • Failed internet connection.

To check that you do have an active internet connection, visit https://stratus.deslock.com using your internet browser. If the page loads, your internet connection is working, and the problem may be caused by another issue. If you the page failed to load, check all network connections and internet protocols.

  • Your security software might be blocking the ESET Endpoint Encryption application from accessing the internet

Security software that includes a Firewall can block the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server setup from accessing the internet. The way to resolve this issue varies depending on the security software you have installed. To address this issue, you will need to access your security software settings, check which applications are being blocked and then add ESET Endpoint Encryption to the list of trusted applications that are allowed to run and access the internet.

  • Internet Proxy values are incorrect.

Check that the internet Proxy values in Enterprise Server meet those detailed within your internet properties under the connections tab and in LAN settings. In the Proxy Server section will be displayed the IP address or name of your Proxy Server and next to it will be the port number it uses to connect to the internet. Click the advanced button to see which type your proxy address is assigned to.
