[KB3250] Temporarily disable protection in ESET Cyber Security or ESET Cyber Security

  • You need to temporarily disable ESET Cyber Security to troubleshoot or install third-party software

Occasionally, during troubleshooting or the installation of third-party software, you may need to temporarily disable your antivirus software. If this is necessary, remember to immediately re-enable Real-time file system protection after the third-party software installation is complete.


Solution

  1. Open the main program window of ESET Cyber Security.

  2. Click ProtectionsComputer.

  3. Click the toggle next to Real-time file system protection to disable it.

Re-enable protection when you are finished

When you are finished working with protection disabled, immediately re-enable Real-time file system protection.
