[KB6680] Anti-Theft "run a test" in the ESET HOME portal does not finish

If you click Run a test from the Anti-Theft page on ESET HOME, the test will run as shown below:


The Anti-Theft test may take a few minutes to finish as it attempts to sync with your ESET Windows home product.

If the test takes longer than expected, click Refresh in the test window. Read more about running an ESET Anti-Theft test.


Solution

Stop the Anti-Theft test from running and view the results:

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Confirm that you have activated and set up ESET Anti-Theft.

  3. Log in to your ESET HOME account.

  4. From the navigation menu, click the Anti-Theft icon.

  5. Next to the device you want to test, click View details.

  6. Click Run a test.

  7. Open your ESET product and click Allow from the ESET Anti-Theft notification.

  8. Return to the Anti-Theft portal in ESET HOME. Click the device you are running the test on.

    The Test Anti-Theft - Results will display on the home page of your device. You will see a screenshot of your device at the time the snapshot was taken.
