[KB7601] Delete a workstation from ESET Endpoint Encryption Server

Details

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Solution

Encryption and active users
  • Deleting a Workstation from the ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Server does not remove the client machine's existing encryption. Before deleting a workstation from the server, decrypt the client machine.
  • If a workstation has activated users, deleting the workstation from the server does not impact the client machine's functionality. The server will not provide the workstation with commands, recovery codes or a recovery ISO.
  1. Log in to the ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Server.

  2. Click Workstations → Desktops, select the applicable workstation and then click Delete.

  3. Click Yes to agree with the Activated Workstation Detected warning.

  4. Enter the EEE Server password to confirm deleting the workstation.
If a workstation is accidentally deleted from the EEE Server

If a Full Disk Encrypted workstation is accidentally deleted from the EEE Server, the workstation can be adopted to retake control. If a non-Full Disk Encrypted workstation is accidentally deleted from the EEE Server, you can reset the users.
