• Create, edit, or delete a firewall rule in ESET Endpoint Security for Windows on a client device

1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows endpoint application.

2. Press F5 to access Advanced setup.

3. Click Protections → Network access protection, expand Firewall and click Edit next to Rules.

   

4. To create a rule, click Add. Alternatively, select a rule and click Edit, Delete, Copy, or the arrows to perform the action you want.

   Rule priority

   The order of rules in the Rules list determines their priority: the rule at the top has the highest priority. To change a rule's position, select the rule and click the arrow icon to move it up or down one place. To move a rule directly to the top or bottom of the list, select the rule and click the move-to-top or move-to-bottom icon.

   

5. If needed, modify the rule name and ensure that the Enabled toggle is enabled. Configure the rule parameters and click OK. For more information, see Adding or editing Firewall rules.

   

6. If needed, click the rule to review the parameters. Click OK.

   

7. Click OK.
