[KB7719] Uninstall ESET Endpoint Encryption (Windows)

Solution

ESET Endpoint Encryption Client and ESET Endpoint Encryption Server are separate applications from ESET Full Disk Encryption

The article below applies only to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Client or ESET Endpoint Encryption Server and not ESET Full Disk Encryption.

Decrypt data
  • Once ESET Endpoint Encryption is uninstalled, encrypted data will not be accessible. All encrypted disks using Full Disk Encryption must be decrypted before uninstalling.
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling EEE will not remove your Key-File or subscription information. If you are a standalone user and have forgotten your Key-File, do not uninstall ESET Endpoint Encryption.
Managed uninstall

If you are a managed user, follow the managed uninstall process to uninstall ESET Endpoint Encryption.

  1. Press the Windows key, type Control Panel, and select Control Panel.

  2. Click Control Panel, and select Programs and Features.

  3. Select ESET Endpoint Encryption, and click Uninstall.

  4. Click Yes.

  5. Click Yes to restart Windows or click No to restart later to complete the uninstall process. Once restarted, ESET Endpoint Encryption will successfully be uninstalled.
