[KB759] How do I delete a quarantined file? (3.0)

Solution

Upgrade to the latest version - End of Life notice

This article applies to version 5.x of ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Endpoint Security. These products are currently in Basic Support status and are expected to reach End of Life status in December 2020. After this date, ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Endpoint Security will no longer receive detection engine updates to protect against malware.

The quarantine contains backups of files that have been detected, cleaned or removed by your ESET product. To remove these backup files from your computer, follow the step-by-step instructions below:

  1. Open ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus. How do I open my ESET product?

  2. Toggle to Advanced Mode by clicking Toggle Advanced mode in the lower left corner or by pressing CTRL + M on your keyboard.

  3. Click Tools → Quarantine. Right-click the desired file and click Remove.

  4. Confirm by clicking Yes.
