[KB7125] Full Disk Encryption error on systems with RAID controllers in ESET Endpoint Encryption

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

  • DESlock+ client v4.6.4 or earlier provides limited compatibility with RAID controllers when using Full Disk Encryption.

    This issue has been improved in versions 4.7.x and later.

Solution

Full disk encryption on standalone endpoints

If you are starting encryption on a client machine and see the warning notification below, then you should upgrade your client machine to the latest version before attempting to start encryption.

If you are starting encryption on a client machine and see the warning notification below, you will need to update your Enterprise Server to version 2.5.x or later and use client version 4.7.x or later.
