[KB6974] Disable ESET Firewall in an ESET endpoint application for troubleshooting purposes

Disabling ESET Firewall may increase security risks

We recommend keeping the Firewall enabled at all times, unless you have been specifically instructed to disable it by ESET Technical Support. Disabling the Firewall may expose your system to potential security threats.

  1. Open the main program window of your ESET endpoint application.

  2. Press F5 to access Advanced setup.

  3. Click Protections → Network access protection, expand Firewall, click the toggle next to Enable Firewall to disable it and click OK.

  4. After you finish troubleshooting, enable ESET Firewall again: repeat the steps above to open the firewall settings, click the toggle next to Enable Firewall to enable it and click OK.
