[KB2804] Disable or re-enable a Parental Control user account (14.x–15.x)

Disabling a Parental Control account

Disabling a Parental Control account disables all web content filtering settings, Parental Control configurations, and any web pages you have blocked or allowed access to for that account.

User Accounts must be configured for Parental Control to be effective

Windows user accounts must be available for each person accessing the computer. Without completing this important step, Parental Control is ineffective in shielding children from inappropriate web content.

  1. Open the main program window of ESET Windows product.

  2. Click SetupSecurity tools.

  1. Click the arrow next to Parental control.

  1. To disable a user account, click the slider bar next to the Microsoft Windows User account that you want to disable (the slider bar turns grey when disabled). To re-enable a user account, click the slider bar next to that user account.
