[KB2804] Disable or re-enable a Parental Control user account

Issue

Disabling a Parental Control account

Disabling a Parental Control account turns off all web content filtering settings, Parental Control configurations and any web pages you have blocked or allowed access to for that account.

Before you configure ESET Parental Control

Windows user accounts must be available for each person accessing the computer. Without completing this important step, Parental Control is ineffective in shielding children from inappropriate web content.

Solution

  1. Set up Windows user accounts for each person accessing the computer. For information on setting up Windows user accounts, click the appropriate link below:

  2. Open the main program window of ESET Windows home product.

  3. Click SetupInternet protection.

  4. Click the arrow icon next to Parental control.

  5. Click the toggle next to the Windows User account to disable it. To re-enable a user account, click the toggle next to that user account to enable it.
