[KB8084] Create a UEFI Bootloader Log in ESET Endpoint Encryption and ESET Full Disk Encryption

Issue

  • You need to create a UEFI bootloader log

Solution

  1. Open File Explorer, click This PC, right-click the USB drive, and click Format. Format the USB drive to FAT32 (Default). Click Start
    Remove data

After the USB drive is formatted, all existing data is deleted. Save or remove all data before reformatting.

2. Create a new folder in the root drive of the USB drive. Type DLPLogger for the new folder name.

3. On the computer experiencing issues, connect the USB drive and boot the system normally.

4. Log in to the pre-boot authentication screen.

5. The loader.log file should be listed in the DLPLogger folder. Send the file to support.

No log generated

If no log is generated on the USB drive, the system did not initialize the USB drive at boot. To resolve this issue, boot the machine to the system's Boot Menu instead. The USB drive will not be listed. You can still select the Windows bootloader and follow steps 4 and 5.
