[KB7428] Manually update license in ESET Endpoint Encryption (stand-alone)

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption Client and ESET Endpoint Encryption Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption

The article below applies only to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Client or ESET Endpoint Encryption Server and not ESET Full Disk Encryption.

  • After you purchase an update to your ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) license, you need to synchronize your license in EEE
The article applies to stand-alone installations

This article applies to unmanaged (stand-alone) installations only. On managed installations, the administrator manages licenses in the EEE Server.

Solution

Ensure you have the Product ID and Product Key that you received in email. Click here to recover your forgotten Product ID or Product Key.

  1. Log in to EEE.

  2. Right-click the ESET Endpoint Encryption Icon in the Notification Area, click Licence, and then Licence Wizard.

  3. In the dialog window, type the Product ID and Product Key into the relevant boxes and click Next.

  4. Follow the steps through the wizard. The process will sync with the EEE licensing server, and the updated license details will be applied.
