[KB7720] Log in or out of ESET Endpoint Encryption

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Solution

Logging out of EEE will disable access to encryption keys to ensure granular encrypted information is no longer accessible. 

Log in

  1. Right-click the EEE icon in the system tray, then select Login. If the EEE icon is not available, click the arrow to show hidden icons.

  2. Type your password and click OK.

Log out

  1. Right-click the EEE icon in the system tray, then select Logout. If the EEE icon is not available, click the arrow to show hidden icons.

Check your status

  1. In the system tray, hover the mouse over the EEE icon. A tooltip will appear with the current EEE status. If the EEE icon is not available, click the arrow to show hidden icons.
