[KB7166] Decrypt a memory stick or external disk using ESET Endpoint Encryption

• Remove important data from the encrypted folder

  If the removable media device is encrypted using the File Mode Encryption, removing the encryption will delete the contents of the encrypted folder permanently. It is critical you remove any important data from the encrypted folder before decrypting the device.

 

Full Disk Mode / File Mode

1. In the Windows notification area, right-click the ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) icon.

1. Select Removable Media → Removable Media Encryption and then select the applicable device from the list of disks to remove encryption.

3. Click Decrypt.

5. When the decryption is complete, click OK.
