[KB7153] Install the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Solution

Download the All-in-one Preinstall package before you begin

We recommend that you set up the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server by downloading the All-in-one Preinstall package, which includes the EEE Server and all the required pre-requisites such as SQL, Apache, and PHP.

Installation

  1. Download and run the Preinstall package.

  2. Click Start.

  3. Click Launch.

  4. Select your language and click Next.

  5. Select the check box next to Advanced to specify your own SQL server. Otherwise, leave it unselected and click Next (the Preinstall will automatically set up a SQL server for you).

  6. Type your System Administrator Username and Password in the appropriate fields. Click Next.

  7. Type your Organization name and Proxy ID in the appropriate fields. The Proxy ID was provided to you in your ESET Endpoint Encryption license details. Click Next.

  8. Click Finish. The setup is now complete.

  9. Log in to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server using the Username and Password you provided during installation. Once logged in, configure your EEE Server using additional tasks.
