[KB3278] The laptop that was added to an ESET HOME account is not visible in online Anti-Theft portal

Issue

  • The device that was added to your ESET HOME account is not visible in the online Anti-Theft portal

Solution

Getting started with ESET Anti-Theft: Step 4 of 4 ← ESET HOME account
  1. Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

  2. Disable Anti-Theft.

  3. Click Setup → Security Tools.

  1. Click the slider bar next to Anti-Theft to enable it.

  1. Type your ESET HOME login information in the ESET Anti-Theft window and click Log in.

  1. Type a name into the Set a device name field and click Continue
Use a new device name

Use a different name for your device from the name initially used to help with the association process.

  1. Click Finish setup on ESET HOME.

  1. The account page for ESET HOME opens in your web browser. Click Home. Your device will appear indicating that ESET Anti-Theft has been set up successfully. Click Optimize this device.
