What do I need to do to set up ERA and install my ESET security product on my network?
In order to protect your network with your ESET security product, you will need to perform a four-part process:
- Download and install your ESET software (ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4, ESET Remote Administration Server and ESET Remote Administrator Console)
- Set up your Mirror folder, which contains the virus signature updates for clients
- Create an installation package on your server (containing your ESET security product and a configuration .xml file)
- Push installation package out to clients
This article covers steps three and four, (above) and assumes you have already completed steps one and two.
Creating an installation package and "pushing" it out to the network allows an administrator to quickly install/uninstall ESET NOD32 Antivirus or ESET Smart Security on multiple client workstations.
