[KB7426] Decrypt a Standalone Workstation within Windows

Issue

I need to decrypt my Standalone Workstation. 

ESET Endpoint Encryption Client and ESET Endpoint Encryption Server are separate applications from ESET Full Disk Encryption

The article below applies only to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Client or ESET Endpoint Encryption Server and not ESET Full Disk Encryption.

Solution

To decrypt a Standalone Workstation, follow the instructions below.

Ensuring you are logged into the key-file, right-click the notification tray icon, select Full Disk Encryption.

  • Click Manage Disks.

  • Highlight the disk and click Decrypt.

  • Enter the FDE Admin password to begin decryption. 

Repeat this process for any additional encrypted disks. Once complete, the pre-boot log screen will be removed.
