[KB7411] ESET Endpoint Encryption Workstation ID

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Client and EEE Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption (EFDE)

The article below applies only to the EEE Client or EEE Server and not EFDE.

Visit What's new in ESET Full Disk Encryption to view EFDE content.

  • The Workstation ID uniquely identifies a computer within an ESET Endpoint Encryption (EEE) Server.

Solution

There are two methods a user can use to see the Workstation ID of their machine:

  1. Right click on the EEE Deployment Client icon in the system tray.
  2. Click Show Window.

If the system is Full Disk Encrypted the Workstation ID is displayed in the middle of the pre-boot screen when the machine starts.
