[KB7179] Change the Full Disk Encryption login type in ESET Endpoint Encryption

Issue

ESET Endpoint Encryption Client and ESET Endpoint Encryption Client Server are separate products from ESET Full Disk Encryption

The article below applies only to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Client or ESET Endpoint Encryption Server and not ESET Full Disk Encryption.

Solution

Change Full Disk Encryption login from Single sign-on (SSO) to Normal

  1. Log in to ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.
     
  2. Expand Workstations.
     
  3. Select your workstation and click Workstation Details.
     
  4. Click FDE Logins.

  5. Select the FDE user and click Change.

  6. Select Normal login. To select a new password (optional) for the user, select the check box next to Set Password and complete the appropriate fields.

  7. Click Post Change.

  8. Wait for the client to sync with the server or manually sync them (the user will have to set their own Full Disk Encryption login password or use the password you specified in step 6), and then click OK.

Change Full Disk Encryption login from Normal to Single sign-on (SSO)

  1. Log in to your ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.
     
  2. Expand Workstations.
     
  3. Select your workstation and click Workstation Details.
     
  4. Click FDE Logins.

  5. Select the FDE user and click Change.

  6. Select Single sign-on (SSO) login

  7. Click Post Change.

  8. Wait for the client to sync with the server or manually sync them.

  9. The user will have to type the current Full Disk Encryption login password, verify their current network password, and then click OK.
