Required user permissions

This article assumes that you have the appropriate access rights and permissions to perform the tasks below.

If you use the default Administrator user or are unable to perform the tasks below (the option is unavailable), create a second administrator user with all access rights.

To perform tasks in the ESET PROTECT or ESET PROTECT On-Prem Web Console, a user must have the appropriate access rights assigned to their home group. Each user has an assigned permission set that defines the scope of their access level to various objects.

Below is a list of example tasks and the required permission set to successfully perform the task.


Generate a report


Deploy ESET Management Agent using Agent Live Installer


Deploy ESET Management Agent using All-in-one installer


Deploy the ESET Endpoint Product


Run a Client Task


Create or edit a policy

 

Assign or unassign a policy
